About Me

My name is Ben Wilson and I am new to small town living.  I’m actually new to a lot of things lately, things that are pretty exciting and changing who I am and what this life is all about for me.  In the last year or so I’ve had a lot of personal growth that has encouraged me to look inwardly at my past and who I am, but also focus my energy outwardly and invest in relationships with those around me.  I’ve had a major career change in which I left a stable engineering job (see ya later cubicle) in favor of joining a startup company called FarmOn.com.  This has been one of the most exciting new journeys of my life and has infused me with a passion for food and sustainable agriculture!  But an even more exciting and life changing journey has begun recently for me and that is the new life I have started with Kelly.  Kelly and I met less than 2 years ago but we have had such intimate and intense time together that it feels like we’ve been together forever.  We just got married this summer and we’re now starting to plant our roots in a wonderful, small, rural community in central Alberta called Bashaw.  We’re close to both of our families and so many wonderful friends.  It’s the perfect place for this new life together as we look to the future, to starting a family, and to building our dreams together.
